Private practice
Amsterdam
ONE BODY. ONE PRACTICE.
Private Hatha and Vinyasa in Amsterdam for people who expect their time, privacy and body to be treated with precision.

02 / THE PREMISE
This is yoga without the studio theatre: discreet, attentive and designed around what your body needs today—and where you want it to go next.
Farooq brings private sessions to your home, hotel or chosen space across Amsterdam. Every practice can move between Hatha’s deliberate strength, Vinyasa’s fluid intelligence, breathwork and deep recovery.
03 / THE PRIVATE METHOD
Your current energy, mobility, training load and intentions shape the session before the first pose.
Every hold, transition and breath has a purpose. The sequence adapts as your body responds.
We retain what works, refine what does not and develop a practice with a clear thread over time.

04 / TWO MODES. ONE STANDARD.
Mobility, controlled range, breath and down-regulation can support the work you already do—without trying to replace your sport, coach or clinician.
A protected interval away from decisions and noise. Strong when you need energy; unhurried when you need to come back to yourself.
05 / AFTER PRACTICE
“I felt as though my back had received a massage.”
— Private yoga student
What matters is not how the practice photographs.
It is how you leave the room.
“I liked the slow pace and the precision of the movement. My tired body feels great.”
— Group yoga participant
06 / PERSONAL PRACTICE ARCHIVE
These are records of Farooq’s own practice—not a template for yours. Private teaching begins with your body, your sport and your objectives.

FAROOQ
KHADER
07 / YOUR TEACHER
“Yoga entered my life before it became a career, a workout or a trend. It became a language my body understands.”
Farooq began practising in India at eight, alongside his brothers and sister. Years of disciplined study developed an instinct for how different bodies respond to movement. Today he brings that foundation to private teaching: attentive, technically precise and adapted to the person in front of him.
08 / EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
At the height of his early practice, Farooq trained for up to five hours a day. For almost a decade, this intensity gave him time to explore advanced postures, technique, breath and the theory behind the physical practice.
Yoga extended beyond the mat. Farooq and his family followed a yogic diet for approximately fifteen years, before their respective careers took them to different parts of the world.

Yandara Yoga Institute
Baja California Sur, Mexico
November 2017
Introduced to yoga in India alongside his siblings; advanced practice developed through his teenage years.
Completed 200-hour training at Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
Co-owned a yoga studio in Amstelveen until the pandemic, gaining experience of both private and group practice.
Technique-led Hatha and Vinyasa for individual goals, with one accessible group practice each week.
09 / HOW FAROOQ TEACHES
Deliberate shapes, patient holds and attention to alignment create the technical base.
Breath-led transitions develop fluidity, coordination and strength without rushing the practice.
Other techniques enter the session when the student’s body, energy or goals call for them.
The aim is not to perform Farooq’s practice. It is to build a sustainable practice that belongs to you.
